OUR STORY
We began our journey in January 2023 with Rawkies Edible Raw Cookie Dough, launching our unique take on cookie dough that’s safe, delicious, and recently renamed to Rawkies Ready-To-Eat Cookie Doug. However, we quickly realised that to thrive in our location, we needed to expand beyond desserts.
So, seven months later, we evolved into Rawkies Desserts & Café Bar, offering a wider menu of hot and cold food and drinks. Despite the growth, we faced tough competition and found it hard to stand out. After some soul-searching and research, we discovered that Bury was missing something: a modern, affordable restaurant experience. There was no one offering a tasting menu or contemporary British cuisine in a way that felt accessible.
That’s when we made our boldest move yet.
In March 2024, we relaunched as Rawkies Kitchen & Bar — shifting from casual café to elevated dining at an affordable price. Our focus is on bringing modern British cuisine to a town that was missing it. We now offer a six-course tasting menu, alongside our house and à la carte menus, blending creativity with comfort and flavour.
We don’t call ourselves fine dining — we simply aim to bring elevated food to a more accessible, everyday setting.
Yet through every evolution, one thing has remained: our signature product. Edible raw cookie dough is what started it all, and it’s still at the heart of what we do. Our Rawkies counter is still going strong, serving indulgent cookie dough-based desserts to enjoy in-house, take away, or order for delivery.
